Cristine Reyes is dating a non-celebrity suitor
Actress Cristine Reyes is dating a non-celebrity suitor who is a student of Ateneo de Manila University.
The 20-year-old actress identified him only as Gio. She said he is the president of Ateneo’s student council.
"Sobra siyang matangkad. Hindi siya iyong hunk na kapag nakita mo 'wow gwapo!' Pero kapag nakausap mo sobrang may sense kausap. Atsaka nakakapag-usap kami sa phone for like two hours," Reyes said.
She said what she likes most about Gio is his sense of humor.
They have known each other since they were children. In fact, she said, he courted her when they were still in Grade 6. That time though, she said she liked someone else.

Anne Curtis traumatized by road accident
Beyond the physical wound, the “biggest injury” Anne Curtis sustained from Monday's road accident is trauma, said her on-screen partner Derek Ramsay.
"No one was hurt, thank God. But most people would not be able to get to the wheel after an accident like that but I told her that you should get back," Ramsay said.
The actor, who acts as Curtis’ adviser when it comes to car driving, said he is encouraging her to drive again in order to overcome her fear.
Ramsay was one of Curtis’ friends who got shocked after hearing that the actress figured in an accident in Quezon City Monday. Former boyfriend Sam Milby, Jericho Rosales and Christian Bautista even rushed to the scene to help her.
Ramsay heaved a sigh of relief because his “The Wedding” co-star was wearing a seatbelt when the incident happened. "She has a mark of the seatbelt here (pointing to his left breast) and the impact of airbag, so, a couple of bruises."
He feared that it would have been “a different story” if she was not wearing her seatbelt.
Curtis also admitted that the accident was “completely her fault,” according to the actor.
"She completely admitted na it was her fault. It was an accident. Accident always happens,” he said.
Curtis already reported to the set of television show “The Wedding.” Ramsay assured that the actress is “doing well.”
"Sabi ko, 'kotse lang 'yan. Ang mabuti ay walang nangyari saiyo and anyone else.' And she realized that. She is full of smile until 4 this morning (Thursday) so she's doing well," Ramsay said.

Anne Curtis discharged from hospital
Anne Curtis, who suffered minor injuries after figuring in a car accident, has been discharged from a hospital. Reports said the young actress is now resting at her home after leaving the still undisclosed facility. Curtis opted to skip her scheduled X-ray examination and went straight home in order to rest, reports added. Curtis was reportedly grateful to all those who came to her aid, some of whom were her friends from show business.
"The Wedding" artist, who was driving a Porsche Cayenne, hit an L-300 delivery van on the corner of Congressional and Mindanao Avenues in Quezon City around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Anne Curtis hurt in car accident
Fans of actress Anne Curtis were rattled by news of her figuring in a road accident early morning of July 27.
According to an "Unang Hirit" report broadcast around 8 a.m., Curtis was brought to St. Luke's Medical Center after her car, a Porsche Cayenne, rammed into an L-300 delivery van at the corner of Congressional and Mindanao Avenues in Quezon City around 1 a.m., Monday.
The actress is said to have suffered minor cuts and bruises.
The driver of the van, identified as Aquino Marcelino, claimed that it was Curtis' car that collided with his vehicle. Marcelino said that he had the truck on idle and was waiting for the green light when the actress' car appeared out of nowhere and hit him. He added that the actress might have fallen asleep while driving her car.
Some of Curtis' friends rushed to the scene, including singer Christian Bautista and actors Jericho Rosales and Sam Milby.
Curtis' road manager, Michelle, said the actress' nanny texted her to pack up today's shooting for "The Wedding" which the actress topbills.

Robbers break into Anne Curtis' home
Thieves broke into Anne Curtis’ home early Tuesday and stole some of her belongings.
“The Wedding” actress said a bag and some of her clothes were missing. She said she only found out about the incident Tuesday morning while she was taping for her television series.
"Fortunately, walang valuables na nawala kasi naka-lock ang room ko but it's a bag at mga damit," Curtis said during a press conference of her newest endorsement, Greenwich's Supreme Lasagna.
The actress shared that the robbers got into her house by forcibly opening one of the windows. She said her household workers were sleeping when the burglars strike.
Curtis said she is grateful that no one was hurt in the incident.
"Walang nasaktan and I think 'yon ang pinaka-grateful ko na ang mga kasama ko sa bahay ay hindi nasaktan. Everything is safe," the actress said.
Curtis immediately shot down speculations that the incident could be an inside job. She also rejected suggestions that one of her fans might be behind the incident.
The actress said “she does not want to make a big deal about it.”
The actress said the security of the subdivision is already investigating the break-in. She has yet to report the incident to the police.

Sarah-Lloydie tiff?
Speaking of intrigue. Did pop princess Sarah Geronimo give Lloydie a cold shoulder last Sunday on musical variety show “ASAP ‘09?”
Geronimo, who was dragged into the break-up issue between Cruz and his non-celebrity former girlfriend, reportedly snubbed the actor.
During the renewal of her contract with ABS-CBN, Geronimo explained: "Hindi naman deadma. Medyo hindi lang naiwasan na medyo nagkakailanganan kasi ang tagal na naming hindi nagkasama. Ganoon naman po kami kahit noon pa.”
The singer added that it was not intentional on her part to give him a “cold treatment.”
The pop princess and Cruz had first teamed up in a romantic-comedy film “A Very Special Love” and again in its sequel, “You Changed My Life.” Both films were big hits and these earned them a title “Box Office Queen and “Box Office King.”

Actor John Lloyd “Lloydie” Cruz has finally spoken up regarding his controversial photos with Ruffa Gutierrez.
In an interview with “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon,” Lloydie admitted that he got affected by the controversy that surfaced after photos of him and Gutierrez spending time together in the United States spread on the Internet.
“Okay ang bakasyon, refreshing pero hindi gaanong refreshing... Hindi naman lingid sa kaalaman ng lahat na wala pa ako dito, pinagpyepyestahan na ang mga pictures na binibigyan nila ng kulay,” he said.
Their photos had triggered speculations about the real status of their relationship. The two have repeatedly maintained that they are just friends.
Cruz also assured that he is not afraid to face the public to explain every intrigue being thrown at him.

Annabelle spills the beans on Ruffa-John Lloyd
Actors John Lloyd Cruz and Ruffa Gutierrez have constantly denied that there is romance between them.
But leave it to Annabelle Rama, Ruffa's mother, to unwittingly disclaim their statements.
"Payo ko lang kay John Lloyd, 'Dong, napakatapang mo ligawan si Ruffa, d'yan ako bilib sa 'yo,"' Rama said during the 100th episode of her daughter's show, "Ruffa and Ai."
She added: "Maski ayaw ko sa iyo, ang kulit-kulit mo kay Ruffa. Okay na rin ako sa'yo, Dong!"
To which Ruffa could only say, "Oh my god, Ma!"
In the July 5 episode of "The Buzz," Ruffa informed the public that she and John Lloyd were merely friends; just "shopping buddies," as she puts it, alluding to a photo which showed the two walking down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
"I think there's really nothing wrong kung magkita kami ni John Lloyd doon. We enjoy each other's company. We text, nagtatawagan kami. And we do go out. So, wala naman po sigurong masama doon dahil disente naman si John Lloyd. Single naman siya, single naman ako," Ruffa said.
She added: "Actually, ang totoo po, we are not a couple. Hindi po kami magkasintahan, okay? So, relax lang kayo. [And] like I said, wala naman pong masama [with whom] I enjoy my time, whether with a female or a male friend. Mabait naman si John Lloyd, di ba? Okay lang naman siguro na maging kaibigan ko siya, na makilala ko siya."
Yet Annabelle spilled the beans on them a few days later by saying, "Surrender na ang bandera ng Bisaya, binababa ko na. Itataas ko na ang kamay ko - pati paa ko, itataas ko na!"

Veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez, the soon-to-be-wife of Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, said that they will spend their honeymoon either in France or Madrid, Spain. Young actress KC Concepcion has finally broken her silence on the issue linking her to the sex video scandal. The star of the upcoming “Lovers in Paris” disputed speculations that she also has a sex video with Dr. Hayden Kho and that her mom, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, purportedly paid P20 million to make sure that it would not spread on the Internet. Jackie Rice thrilled to be in Pacquiao Film
Young star Jackie Rice is ecstatic over her upcoming film "Sa Ngalan ng Busabos" with boxing star Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.
In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Rice said that when she was cast to do a movie with the world's number one pound-for-pound boxer, her first reaction was: "You've got to be joking."
The actress admitted that she, like millions of Filipinos, is an avid fan of the "Pambansang Kamao."
"Masaya po. Akala ko [talaga] nagbibiro lang ang handler ko na kasama ko siya. Pero siyempre ayaw kong ipakita na fan ako. Noong huli, hindi ko na maitago na fan ako kasi sobrang bait [niya], " she said.
Rice, who has already shot some of the film's crucial scenes, described her high-profile co-star as "nice, generous, and sweet."
"Hindi ko ini-expect na ganoon siya kabait. Sobrang open sa lahat. Nagbibiro [siya] sa mga mahihirap [kasi] may mga fans din doon," Rice said.
"Nagpapakain siya sa lahat. Gusto niya kapag kakain siya, kakain ang lahat," she added.
Asked if she is ready to face possible intrigues as Pacman's sexy co-star, Rice said she has nothing to worry about.

'Only You' Approaching its Finale
The Filipino adaptation of hit Korean telenovela “Only You” is nearing its finale, the show’s lead star announced.
"Malapit na po ang pagtatapos namin dahil nakalagpas kalahati na po kami. Ang ‘Only You’ po kasi ay 15 weeks. Nakaka-10 na po kami," Angel Locsin told entertainment press.
Locsin said she is not aware if the show can still be extended since the story is based on the Korean TV program.
"Only You" continued to score high in the TV ratings game. Based on the June 29 ratings released by TNS, the ABS-CBN television series remained No. 2 on its list of top shows, garnering a high 38.3 percent audience share.
Locsin said when the show ends she will surely miss her “bonding time” with co-stars Sam Milby, Diether Ocampo and seasoned actor Tirso Cruz III.
Meanwhile, the actress, who plays a cook in the TV series, is contemplating of taking a short course in Culinary Arts.

Angel Turns Down Movie Team-up with Sharon
Actress Angel Locsin was overwhelmed that Megastar Sharon Cuneta had chosen her to be part of her upcoming film "Mano Po 6: My Mother" under Regal Films.
However, in an interview during the Thanksgiving Party for "Only You," Locsin said doing the "Mano Po" film with Cuneta would not be possible since she has an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN's movie outfit, Star Cinema.
"Kasi exclusive po ako sa Star Cinema so medyo mahirap na po dahil may usapan na pong legal," Locsin said.
The actress said although it would be impossible for her to be in "Mano Po," she divulged that she and the megastar will star in a film produced by Star Cinema.
"Pero alam ko po ay mayroong niluluto ang Star Cinema na magkaroon kami ng proyekto ni Tita Sharon," Locsin said.
Locsin, whose last movie with Star Cinema was "Love Down Under," is slated to make two films that will be directed by award-winning filmmakers Cathy Garcia Molina and Chito S. Roño.
Reports also said that Locsin will be paired with seasoned actor Aga Muhlach in one of her upcoming films.
Peace mission
Locsin, meanwhile, divulged her short trip in troubled Munai town in the province of Lanao del Norte recently.
The actress, accompanied by her four friends, went to Mindanao after a month of planning. They said they went to the area without any security detail to personally witness the condition of the residents who continue to suffer due to the ongoing conflict in the southern Philippines.
She said she and her friends mingled with the locals while wearing a veil.
"Hindi ko alam ang mangyayari sa akin doon pero nandoon na. Nakita ko ang kalagayan [nila]... wala na silang lupa kasi ginawa ng kampo or pinasabog na iyong mga bahay nila," Locsin said.
She added: "Gusto ko lang malaman niyo ang kalagayan ng mga tao doon. Huwag niyo silang katakutan. Puntahan niyo at alamin niyo kung bakit ganoon [ang kalagayan nila] at tulungan natin ang mga naiipit sa giyera.”
Locsin also appealed to the government to resume the peace talks to finally end the war in Mindanao.
"Nakita namin iyong sitwasyon. Naawa lang po ako sa mga sibilyan kaya sana ipagpatuloy natin ang peace talks kasi ang apektado talaga ay ang mga sibilyan," she said.
Locsin, who was reported to be the granddaughter of one of the sultans in Mindanao, kept her silence on what kind of help she extended to the people she met in the evacuation centers.
The “Only You” star quickly shot down speculation that the trip was connected to her alleged plan to run in next year’s elections. She maintained that helping underprivileged Filipinos is just her way of sharing her blessings.

After her stint as "Eva Fonda,” Cristine Reyes has been named the sexiest woman in the world by FHM Philippines.
The actress bested 99 other female stars in the magazine's poll of its readers.
Trailing Cristine is last year's winner, Marian Rivera, followed by Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin.
The controversial Katrina Halili is at fourth place.
Iwa Moto rounds up the top five.
"Transformers" star Megan Fox continues her reign as the FHM global winner, the second year she was voted into the top spot by all FHM editions worldwide.
Though she didn't get the top rank, Angel says she's grateful for the recognition.

FHM Philippines revealed its “Tempting 10″ for the 100 Sexiest Women in the World for 2009 and the poll is topped by no other than kapamilya star Cristine Reyes.
Cristine Reyes is FHM’s sexiest this year by receiving a total of 382,819 votes. Last year’s winner, Marian Rivera, received the second highest number of votes with 282,300 followed by Angel Locsin with 266,233.

Lloydie, Ruffa Sighted in Posh Hotel in US?
Despite their repeated denials, rumors about John Lloyd Cruz and Ruffa Gutierrez’s hook up would not die down.
Cruz and Gutierrez flew to California, United States separately last week. Cruz was part of Star Magic’s 17th anniversary concert in the US while Gutierrez had spent her birthday there.
Their trips had triggered speculations that they were planning to meet up there. They did see each other in a party thrown in Los Angeles. Cruz was reportedly among the guests. Also present in the party were Gutierrez’s parents, Eddie Gutierrez and the feisty Annabelle Rama.
Before they left the country, Cruz had to assure Rama over dinner that he was not courting her daughter.
After the Cruz-Rama brouhaha had been settled, another intrigue regarding the real status of Gutierrez and the young actor’s relationship swirled. This time, the speculation is backed with evidence – a photo allegedly of the two entering a posh hotel in Beverly Hills.
In the photo, only the woman and man’s backs can be seen. The woman is wearing a black asymmetrical dress and gladiator sandals while the man in a baseball cap is carrying a backpack and luggage.
Some bloggers were certain that they were Cruz and Gutierrez but the two celebrities have yet to comment on the controversial photo.

Sexier Bea Alonzo in New Movie 'And I Love You So'
Young actress Bea Alonzo said she had to go on a diet and attend yoga sessions to be in good shape for her upcoming movie "And I Love You So" with actors Derek Ramsay and Sam Milby.
Alonzo, who gained weight while taping for the defunct hit series "I Love Betty La Fea," obviously lost weight with a silvery tube-dress she wore during the renewal of her contract with ABS-CBN's movie outfit Star Cinema last Friday, June 19.
The actress said she attended bikram yoga sessions to be in shape, which is a requirement for her role in the upcoming movie.
"This is for the movie. Actually kailangan talaga ng pelikula, and I'm working on for myself again para ibang Bea ang makita ninyo dito," Alonzo said.
The actress said that aside from the yoga sessions, she has been on a no-carb diet, munching on eggs and bananas.
Alonzo said that aside from hard work and determination, it was her film director Laurenti Dyogi who challenged her to be fit again.
The actress said that as a proof of her effective diet, she lost almost 15 pounds in just four month. She said she can now wear the clothes she used in her 2007 hit film "One More Chance."
Even with her sexy body, Alonzo said she's still not yet ready to pose for men's magazines.
"Sa pelikula lang muna... at sa fashion magazine lang siguro," she said.
'And I Love You So'
Giving justice to the character she plays in the film "I Love You So" was Alonzo's motivation to have a perfect body.
Alonzo said she and her leading men are about to finish filming the movie.
"We are happy sa tinakbo. Talagang wow. Nakaka-inspire at alam mo na ang ganda ng tatakbuhin," she said.
She added that she felt comfortable working with sexy leading men, Milby and Ramsay.
"Pareho silang interesting and ang sarap kilalanin. They are really kind and really nice," Alonzo said.
"And I Love You So" is about a young woman (Alonzo) who lost her husband. In her solitude, she will meet a man (Milby) who is a complete opposite of her late husband.
